Ideas for Summer?

Ok, I know there are some majorly creative people that read this blog… care to help out?

Below is a little experiment we did this morning as a “family” thing… The idea for summer is that the kids (namely the big ones) can shoot, edit, and put on a DVD some fun movies. No greenscreen, no stuntmen, just plain fun. They didn’t know how we could do that…

Maybe you have some ideas for movie topics?

We made one once with friends and it was really fun! And the memory has lasted. The theme was silly, “Things you should never do”. Things like ripping the mattress label off the bed, or eating cookies in bed and then more silliness happened once we did it.

I guess you’d have to see it…. But little shorts like that are easier to do and let each kid be a lead and take turns….

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

It’s difficult to ease the hollywood expectations into the shoebox size production we can do, but it’ll be fun in the making!

My favorite part of this one is when Noah is demanding: “Did you take it Dad!? Did you take it?! … YEAH!”

From Grammy – (I don’t know how to log in any other way here)..

LOVE this idea. Thanks for sending it to me…and big hugs to my kiddos.

Here’s an idea and I have one of these you can use…maybe you do too..(used it for a talk I used to do)…a magic wand. “If I had a magic wand, I’d _______”.

Might be a fun interview.

Interview format altogether would be good. Have them role play and then interview them. ie. they are a dog, a fish, a bird, flea, they are a chair, a piece of driveway, a swimming pool, a computer, a famous and not so famous person…create a character–giving parameters of the character, then have them role play and ask questions, etc.

Ask them questions about themselves being that object or that person, or have them talk about the best thing about being a driveway….the worst thing…

Lots of ideas here….I’ll keep thinking.
