More crap, faster life…
Seems like I have to keep reminding my dumb self.
The more crap we get, the faster life seems to go. I wanna spend time with the crap, not the fam. I think about more crap to go with the crap I just got. I tend to forget about the old crap and let it rot and get upset if the new crap gets busted.
We’ve got crap that plays in the crap player, on the crap screen. We’ve got crap to listen to crap while thinking about more crap.
Often times, I’ll pretend I have no worries about money just to go online and load up a shopping cart configured with crap, just because the crap I have is acting crappy (no M$ jokes Rock).
I bet we could get rid of 50% of our crap and life would be much slower and I’d actually spend good time with the kids… heh, and the 20 other things that need doing around the house would get done.

Craptastic!~

It’s a point made often these days…now how do we stop loving crap, and start loving people and God and stuff that’s not crap?

Well, for starters, we should turn off the crap, stop listening to the crap, and stop recording crap on our DCRs (that’s “digital crap recorder” fyi)…..

I hope the power goes out today so I’m forced to live a crap free existence. Or, ya know…I could learn self control….either way.
dude, this is so funny

and so true.

for me though it would have to be drastic to push back the crap… like getting rid of my computer or something. i’m not good at drawing lines in the sand. If i have a computer and spend time reading blogs and communicating with other humans primarily thru IM and email then i start to move more of my life to the computer. Then pretty soon i’ve abandoned my stereo for itunes, because it makes sense then i need an aiport to stream music to my room and an extra hard drive to store my music files. And then each of those have their own rabbit trails. Then it only makes sense to have a digital camera, because it’s so much cheaper and easier than dealing with all that film and developing, but then i have to get a 999GB memory stick for it (until the 999TB ones go on sale), and a new fancy photo printer (with a bluetooth card, because one more cord would just make too much of a mess) ANd then because Iphoto5 doesn’t have the feature i NEED to adequately manage and share my photos i spend $xx for an upgrade (or as i sit presently just lust after an upgrade)…

and it keeps going. I’m not blaming my computer, the problem is ME. and getting rid of it sounds so puritanical. But if i’m serious about making a change, what do it do.

(incidentally my ellie is sitting on my lap right now, being the cutuest and sweetest she’s been in months, wanting to love on me-which i always complain that she doesn’t do enough of- and i’m half ignoring her to type this entry… grrrrrr)
crappety crap crap crap
